"Eggonaut" Rocket Project

PART ONE: Testing rocket fuel combinations

Students tested different combinations of acids (white distilled vinegar & apple cider vinegar), bases (alka-seltzer, antacids, baking soda), and neutral (tap water & distilled water) substance to observe which chemical reaction would give them the most "pop".

Phase TWO: Testing prototypes

Students planned, built, and tested prototypes of rockets that will shoot up high and have the ability to take up an "eggonaut" to space and bring them back down safely.

Phase THREE: Final Launch!!!!

Students take turn launching there final project.  Students are evaluated on how high the rocket launches, the survival of their "eggonaut", and the creativity of their rocket.
